Today CCB is a recognised expert in the provision of rural services and delivers a range of services including supporting village hall trustees and working to provide greater health and wellbeing opportunities in rural communities.

Accessibility to services is a key area of concern for rural communities and we have worked closely with partners at community, unitary, and regional levels to seek solutions. 

Our work aims to help those who are held back by a lack of opportunity whether that is caused by poverty, lack of skills, isolation, or social deprivation. 

Our current project work includes working to eradicate fuel poverty by offering low-income families, guidance and training on how they can save money on their energy and water bills. We also run a collective buying ‘Oil Club’ which helps those who have to heat their home with oil save money by bulk purchasing together.

In addition to our service delivery role, we are also active in advocating for the communities and individuals we work with and use our knowledge of local needs to be able to influence the development of policy and service delivery. If you would like to support our work then becoming a member is a great option.
