Autumn Update; Family Fuel & Water Poverty Project

This autumn our project has helped families in Berkshire save money on their energy & water bills by providing training to frontline workers supporting vulnerable families.

Our webinar ‘Reducing energy and water bills – essential advice and awareness’, covered all aspects of saving money on bills, and dealing with utility debt.

We have trained over 80 frontline workers in 3 sessions this autumn.

Fran Chamings, manager of West Berkshire Foodbank, who attended with 8 of her staff and volunteers, said that they can cascade the advice and information to 925 families in the next six months. stated “It was an excellent course with invaluable information that I can impart immediately”

Helen has also been out and about in Berkshire and was pleased to attend Bracknell Homestart Group for families at The Willows Children’s Centre in Bracknell this October where she gave bespoke advice to 9 families on saving money on their energy and water bills, and dealing with utility debt.
