Village Halls Week 2026: Let’s Celebrate Health and Wellbeing in Our Communities

16 to 22 March 2026

Village Halls Week is back, and this year it’s all about connecting communities to health and wellbeing. This annual campaign, led by our national network ACRE, shines a spotlight on the incredible role village halls play in supporting rural life across England, Wales and Scotland.

In 2026, we want to show how village halls are more than just buildings. They are lifelines for physical, mental and social wellbeing. From coffee mornings that combat loneliness to fitness classes that keep us moving, from pop-up libraries to health clinics, these spaces make a real difference every single day.

How You Can Get Involved

Tell us about your events. Are you hosting activities that promote health and wellbeing, directly or indirectly? It could be:

  • Coffee mornings or lunch clubs that bring people together
  • Aerobics, dance, yoga or sports classes
  • Pop-up libraries or book clubs
  • Health visitors or medical professionals using your hall
….Or anything else that helps your community healthy and well!

We would love to shout about the activities taking place across Berkshire. We’ll be visiting five halls before Village Halls Week to capture photos and stories of the amazing things you do. Want to be featured? Get in touch: admin@ccberks.org.uk
