We’re delighted to welcome the newest member of the CCB team, Andrea Malcolm, who joins us this month as our Project Development and Research Officer.

Andrea will initially focus on a Community Development Research project and work alongside Kate Meads on our 21st Century Community Halls Project, leading research and evaluation activities to better understand rural challenges.

Here’s Andrea in her own words:

“I am delighted to be joining CCB. I bring a blend of corporate and charitable sector expertise, having worked for major international energy companies, including BG Group and Royal Dutch Shell.

For a number of years, I have also worked extensively as a volunteer, creating and nurturing complex partnerships across sectors. This included collaborating with local councils, universities, police services, and key community stakeholders – experience that directly aligns with the partnership and research requirements of this role.

I am excited to bring my skills to the team. As a local resident, I live in a nearby village and look forward to meeting and supporting the diverse communities across Berkshire.”

Andrea takes over from David Jennings, who will be leaving CCB at the end of the year as he moves into semi-retirement to spend more time with his family. We would like to thank David for his significant contribution to the project and the team over the past 18 months – his expertise and commitment have been invaluable.
