Paddle Trust grants
The Paddle Trust funds projects across that improve public access to water for all forms of paddlesport. Projects may create accessible launching and landing sites while also protecting natural blue spaces, including rivers and coastlines.
Projects could include platforms or ramps for launching and landing. Other examples include steps and accessible paths to the water’s edge, extra parking for water users and signage promoting safe and responsible use of waterways.
The Trust is particularly interested in projects that benefit multiple user groups and provide opportunities for a wide range of paddlers, rather than facilities restricted to club members. Projects that improve access while protecting the waterway or riverbank environment are also encouraged.
Applications are welcomed from paddling clubs, community groups, parish councils, local authorities and other individuals or organisations with an active interest in improving access to water and protecting the environment. Partnerships with local paddlesport groups that can support the ongoing use of facilities are also encouraged.
Grants of between £500 and £10,000 are available and the deadline for applications is 7 December 2026.
